Nanã Buruku

Personality

Nanã Buruku is the eldest Orixá, grandmother of the pantheon and mistress of the primordial clay from which humans were moulded. Calm, firm, and implacable, she governs the swamp, birth-and-death cycles, and ancestral memory. Her energy of depth and infinite patience teaches that life begins and ends in clay.
