Plague
Full Interpretation
Plagues in dreams represent widespread contamination, collective fear, moral corruption, and the rapid spread of something toxic through your life or community. A plague spreading suggests that something negative is moving unchecked โ toxic attitudes, harmful gossip, or destructive patterns that infect everything they touch. Fleeing a plague shows an instinct to remove yourself from an environment that is making you unwell, while surviving one points to resilience you have already proven but perhaps not yet recognised. A plague of insects turns the threat into something small and countless โ a problem arriving as a thousand minor irritations rather than one crisis โ while curing a plague places you in the role of the person who repairs what others flee. Psychologically, the plague symbolises the contagious nature of fear, negativity, and unhealthy patterns that spread from person to person, often through silence rather than speech. Spiritually, plagues have long been read as a call for communities to examine their collective behaviour and return to moral and spiritual health. The dream invites you to notice what you are passing on to the people around you.
